About Me |
I'd like to think of myself as funny, awkward, talented, soulful, chill, and wholehearted.
My humor has always came naturally. I have a way of making people laugh without trying. Usually my humor isn't silly, it's very dry and most of the time, it's my blunt opinions and comments that get the most laughs! I grew up going to church. I am very thankful for my upbringing because, going to church taught me a lot about music. As a child one of my biggest aspirations was to be a praise singer on the stage while my grandpa would preach and play the guitar. I never turned out to be a praise singer, but I did become a jazz singer. My passion for singing would have never happened if it weren't for church. I've set many goals for my voice, so far, I have met all of them. For example, when I started getting into jazz, I was in love with Amy Winehouse's voice and music. I practiced and sang her songs everyday until I knew all of the lyrics to every song of hers and memorized the instrumental sounds. During all of my practice, my vocal range stretched. Now, I am able to sing very low but also very high. I'm very proud that I taught myself everything I can do with my voice. Currently, I'm focusing on getting my senior year finished so I can move on to college and do greater things with my education and talents. |
